Brow Lift

Brow Lift

As we age, gravity takes its toll, and our eyebrows often begin to sag. For some people, it becomes severe enough that their upper eyelids also sag, blocking peripheral vision. Some even complain of headaches because they have to repeatedly raise their eyebrows in order to see.

A brow lift (sometimes called a forehead lift) with Dr. Yogita Kashyap can tighten the skin and muscles above the brows, restoring the eyebrows to their youthful position and smoothing forehead creases. This surgery can have a dramatic impact on how you look. Yet, it is subtle enough that others might not be able to pinpoint why you look younger.

For those with only a small amount of eyebrow sagging, a non-surgical brow lift may be possible.

Dr. Kashyap’s training, skill, and experience allow her to provide natural results so that you look like an improved version of yourself. She treats patients in her Manhattan office, who come to her from Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Upstate New York, and Long Island.

While a brow lift can improve sagging upper eyelids, if the sagging is significant, an upper eyelid blepharoplasty or ptosis repair may be necessary. This surgery can often be provided concurrently with a brow lift for an overall rejuvenation of the upper face. Some patients also have a lower eyelid blepharoplasty to remove undereye bags.

Candidates for a Brow Lift

A Brow Lift can Improve:

  • Sagging eyebrows
  • Forehead creases
  • Frown lines
  • Uneven eyebrows
  • Eyebrows that have lost their natural arch
  • Furrows across the bridge of the nose
  • Slightly overhanging upper eyelids

Note that if your upper eyelids sag significantly, ptosis repair or an upper eyelid blepharoplasty may be necessary either instead of, or in conjunction with, a brow lift.

Those considering a brow lift will personally meet with Dr. Kashyap for a thorough consultation. During your appointment and eye examination, she will ensure that you are a good candidate for a brow lift. This procedure is minimally invasive, so most people in good general health are candidates.

Dr. Kashyap will discuss the different brow lift techniques and explain which method she recommends for you and why.
